About

Green Bird Workshop specialises in high quality bespoke woodwork.

Curiosity is at the core of what we do, which drives our constant desire to design and make.

Our passion lies in creating unique furniture, interiors & structures with an integral focus on pure craftsmanship, beautiful yet functional design and considered detailing.

Green Bird Workshop was founded by Luke Freeman and was built over 15 years of experience across multiple woodworking disciplines from structural carpentry & green timber framing, set building, traditional joinery, furniture and cabinet making.

Over the years it has developed into a collaboration between a group of passionate and skilled individuals.

By working closely with a network of trusted architects, designers, local craftsmen and suppliers we are able to undertake a wide range of new & exciting challenges.

What we do

We make bespoke handmade kitchens, free standing & fitted furniture all the way through to timber frame studios, larger architectural projects and commercial interior fit outs. We work with both private and commercial clients. We provide a complete package of services customised to the requirements of each individual project from concept design, project management and construction through to completion. We will offer support and advice throughout the whole process.

The workshop is based just outside Totnes in a beautiful rural part of the South Hams in Devon.

Philosophy

We understand the need to take a holistic approach when evaluating our projects. Through careful material selection and conscious sourcing we can become more connected to the whole making process, striving to eliminate waste and reduce our environmental impact.
